As many paediatric anaesthesia members will be aware of the above regional block meeting in Adelaide next year, but they might not be aware that we have, for the first time, a significant paediatric regional anaesthesia component. Dr Adam Spencer from the Alberta Childrens’ Hospital Calgary Canada is one of our invited international speakers who will anchor the paediatric component of the meeting. This consists of a plenary session discussing paediatric regional anaesthesia is 4 different countries (Australia, NZ, Canada and USA). There is also a Paediatric RA Masterclass discussing specific approaches and techniques, such as ambulatory home catheter programme, in hospital comprehensive regional block service and specific novel blocks inbcluding as suprazygomatic maxillary nerve block for cleft palate repair and lumbar plexus block.
